This exhibition is a presentation of a rare collaboration between four of Denmark’s most
central contemporary artists, who for the first time exhibit together. The point of departure
of this exhibition is space, not just as a physical thing, but just as much as a social,
cultural and political topic. The exhibition presents independent and self-contained works
by the four artists who jointly show different versions of space perceptions today and thus
create a gathered universe hat also respects the expressions and media of the individual
artists. They touch upon issues on spontaneous space sensing, to cultural constructions
of space, as in i.e. the home, to overall discussions of complex, philosophical issues of
space.

MOGENS ANDERSEN SKETCHES - Thoughts and lines on paper

From November 3rd till January 27th 2008, GL STRAND will present a number of
sketches by Mogens Andersen that has never been shown publicly before. This large,
unexplored material contains characteristics from Andersen’s contact to, and inspiration
from, Danish as well as international artists. Mogens Andersen (1916-2003) is a modern
classic in Danish art. He was one of the first abstract painters in Denmark, yet his art
works also reflect classical qualities such as balance, calm and moderation.
